If you still have a sense of humor after Election Day, and you are willing to drop about $5 million, you can bid on Norman Rockwell’s Which One?, which goes up on the auction block at Sotheby’s on November 21st.
Appearing on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post on November 4,1944, Rockwell’s Which One? depicts a perplexed Everyman trying to decide whether he should vote for Thomas E. Dewey or Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Maybe there is some comfort in knowing election woes are timeless. Maybe not.
