Make the Time: Cubism at the Metropolitan Museum of Art
At long last, Leonard A. Lauder’s essential collection of 81 Cubist paintings, collages, drawings, and sculptures is on view at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. If you are anywhere near New York City between now and February 16th, 2015, you need to make the time to visit the exhibition.
Lauder announced the gift of his incomparable collection of art by four preeminent Cubists – Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso, Juan Gris, and Fernand Léger – in April of 2013. This gift, valued at over $1 billion, presents all museum visitors the opportunity to enjoy and learn about a critical moment in the history of art from unrivaled artworks.
